    Audi ur-quattro and R8 e-tron win the Silvretta Classic and E-Auto Rally

    The Audi team secured a double victory for the four rings in the inaugural “Silvretta E-Auto Rally Montafon 2010” and the 13th “Silvretta Classic Montafon” with the Audi e-tron technology demonstrator based on the R8 and the Audi ur-quattro from 1988.

    First stage: Audi R8 e-tron in “Silvretta E-Auto Rally Montafon 2010”

    Audi has entered an e-tron technology platform wrapped in the skin of an R8 in the Silvretta E-Auto Rally Montafon 2010. Michael Dick, Member of the Board of Management of AUDI AG for Technical Development, and factory driver Lukas Luhr will pilot the electric sports car along the 167.5 kilometer (104.08 miles) route through the Austrian state of Vorarlberg. After debuting with a demonstration run at “Le Mans vers le futur” as part of the 24-hour race, the Audi R8 e-tron will now be competing in three stages.

The new Internet pages provide an interesting insight into the eventful history of AUDI AG with its brands Audi, DKW, Horch, Wanderer, Auto Union and NSU. This is a presentation of “Vorsprung durch Technik” going back more than a century.

    Auto Union Silver Arrows back on the starting grid in Monte Carlo

    The hearts of fans of historic motor sport will beat faster on the first weekend in May. They may have the good fortune to witness the moment when two legends meet up again: Auto Union racing cars from the 1930s and Monte Carlo, the jewel in the annual motor sport calendar. For the first time since 1937, the sound of two Auto Union Silver Arrows will echo through the narrow streets of the Principality – at the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique on May 1 and 2.
