The engine unleashes a tremendous 331 kW (450 bhp) at 7,000 rpm, – an extraordinarily high engine speed for a luxury saloon. It develops its impressive power across practically the entire speed range. The engine reaches its maximum torque of 540 Nm at 3,500 rpm. 90% of this terrific power is already available at 2,300 rpm. The result is tremendous acceleration that is not reined in until the governed top speed of 250 km/h is reached.
