If quattro is not required, it is disabled, thereby helping the driver to save on fuel. Of course, the all-wheel drive remains permanently available. If the driving situation requires quattro, it is always ready. It allows for the balanced distribution of forces on many roads.

The optional adaptive air suspension adjusts the attenuation forces of each wheel to the driving situation. This depends on terrain, driving style, and the selected Audi drive select mode. High precision and within milliseconds. With various freely selectable height levels, you can compensate for nearly any unevenness. The attenuation control permanently equalises weight.
For more comfortable loading, the body can be lowered by up to 55 mm using a button in the boot. With Audi drive select, the character of the vehicle can be modified to make it more efficient, more comfortable, or more dynamic. But always completely individual.

The Audi Q5 will initially be offered with five strong and efficient engines: four TDI and one TFSI. They feature up to 20 kW (27 HP) of power. However, fuel consumption is considerably lower. In particular, the 2.0 TDI engines in the new Q5, which feature 110 kW (150 HP), 120 kW (163 HP), and 140 kW (190 HP), are highly efficient.
Both top engines combine whopping power with efficiency. The enhanced 2.0 TFSI can deliver up to 185 kW (252 HP) of power but only requires 6.8 of petrol for 100 km – a CO₂ equivalent of 154 g/km. The revised 3.0 TDI delivers up to 210 kW (286 HP) of power and 620 Nm of torque.
