Ample width

With the Audi e-tron, you can negotiate distances from Hamburg to Düsseldorf without having to stop to charge. The high degree of recuperation, i.e. the recovery of braking energy, plays a considerable part in this. During much more than 90 percent of all decelerations, the Audi e-tron recharges itself via its e-machines. In combination with the electrohydraulically integrated brake control system, which we are the first manufacturer worldwide to use in an electrically driven passenger vehicle, the electric SUV exploits its maximum potential for recuperation.

A stylish standard bearer

Efficiency, safety and a new kind of technology and driving experience - the optional virtual exterior mirrors of the Audi e-tron offer you real added value. The flat support reduces the vehicle width by 15 centimetres compared to a conventional exterior mirror and thus also the air resistance and the wind noise level. A small camera projects the images digitally into high-contrast OLED displays inside. In particular, at dusk and at night, you can see rear-end vehi-cles with razor-sharp clarity, despite headlamp reflections. The Audi e-tron is the first produc-tion model in which the virtual exterior mirror is used.

Any questions?
How can I increase my range?
1. Anticipate the traffic situation and keep an eye on your speed.
2. Use the “efficiency” mode of drive select as it is designed for particularly economical driving.
3. Check the ride height set for the vehicle. You can reduce the ride height, thereby reducing aerodynamic drag, by selecting the Audi drive select mode “sport” or “efficiency”.
4. Be aware of additional energy consumers. The air conditioner, radio, headlights and heated rear window also use energy from the battery.
5. Avoid driving with add-on parts such as roof racks if you do not need to use them.
6. Use the eco setting for tyre inflation pressures.
7. Use the pre-heating/pre-cooling function (programming of departure time) if the vehicle is still plugged in at the charging station.
8. Use range mode (restricted operation).
Why can I only charge at 11 kW at a 22 kW charging station?
An on-board charger with 11 kW is currently fitted in the vehicle. It is planned to offer a second on-board charger as an option at extra cost from Q4/19 onwards. Charging with 22 kW is possible using two on-board chargers. The Audi e-tron can be charged at up to 150 kW as standard using direct current (DC).
What battery warranty does AUDI AG offer? Is it also possible to repair the battery?
AUDI AG provides a warranty for the high-voltage battery in new vehicles which is valid for 8 years or 160,000 kilometres. The warranty covers all defects in material and workmanship (manufacturing).
Yes, it is possible for trained personnel (high-voltage experts) to repair the high-voltage battery.
